Using a metaphor from song lyrics to produce an image



Playing with paint, colour, line, mark making, texture, printing, repetition

Tuesday's piece....

first I used white paint which I made run down and across, then I added hand print and black paint and made that run and bleed with white.

I added 5 different bright paints and used a vase to roll across so the paints merged together

I took prints from the wet paint onto pale pink and bright yellow paper. 

I got complimentary colours straight from the tubes and squeezed them into a circular shape.

I took prints from the wet paint onto pale pink and bright yellow paper. I think the pink works better as the yellow is too bright and distracts your view. 

3D Design Week

Using only paper we had to create a light fitting/Lamp Shade

 In groups we experimented with creating curved shapes with folds and scores

finished lamp shade. It has a natural feel to it with the circular shapes and leaf like sides. 

Fashion Week

Week 1, 10th of September

We used the half scale front bodice pattern to create a strong and interesting shape which we then developed into a from on the mannequin's. I used the same shape repeated numerous times in a diagonal direction across the body creating a flowing continuous cape. We then drew from the mannequin onto paper of what we had created and produced 4 variations.
